Why we verify age

Zhd Vape Store only sells to customers aged 18 or over. UK and EU law prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes and any nicotine-delivering products to persons under 18. To comply with the law and keep our community safe, we ask customers to confirm their age during account creation or checkout.

How age verification works

At checkout you’ll be asked for your full name, billing address and date of birth exactly as they appear on official records (e.g., driving licence, electoral roll, or a UK credit file). We securely verify these details using AgeChecked, an industry-standard age-verification provider. This is not a credit check and does not affect your credit score.

If we can’t verify automatically

Occasionally (for example, a recent change of address or name), AgeChecked may not be able to match your details. In such cases, we may reformat and retry the check, or request a valid photo ID (UK Driving Licence or Passport). If verification cannot be completed, we cannot dispatch age-restricted goods and your order may be cancelled and refunded.

Your data & privacy

Your details are processed securely via AgeChecked solely to confirm your age. We do not use them for credit decisions. We aim to verify once per customer account; after successful verification, future orders usually proceed without additional checks. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
